here are some demos.
over the years, ric veda and friends have come up with many songs, which do not always get played live, but which they and fans nonetheless really like. some of these many songs available on this site were rerecorded and made it onto the album titled 'ric veda loves you' (available worldwide), while others remain, for now, demos for you to download here.

thank you for listening, ric veda loves you.

Death is for the living

this honestly named song is not as dark as the name might suggest. in fact it is like a song sung by a cross between a lonesome cowboy and an indian sadhu (monk). features ric veda on harmonium and vocals; j stare on hand drums and percussion; and scott shannon on guitar and laughter.

Grmbl call to arms

a "grmbly" version of the ever present song "call to arms". a popular song at shows that got it's fair share of performances, this striped-down version retains all the best elements of this classic piece. features ric veda on harmonium and vocals; j stare on hand drums; and scott shannon on guitar.

The river 1 & 2

ric veda and j stare had just finished watching a documentary on woody guthrie when this song was recorded. the line "want to teach you how to be" is from woody himself who said those were the songs he liked, songs that make you feel good and teach you how to be. features ric veda on vocals and ektar; and j stare on hand drums.
